Just six months after Tesla CEO Elon Musk helped Trump capture the presidency, both are at each other's throats now. They have started hurling accusations and expletives at each other.
The core issue over which they are fighting is a bill which the Congress has passed.
Musk has accused the Republicans of bankrupting America with unsustainable debt by passing the bill.
"I'm sorry, but I cannot stand it anymore. The massive, outrageous pork-filled Congressional bill is disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it," Musk said on X.
Musk alleged that the bill would massively increase the already huge budget deficit to $ 2.5 trillion and burden every American with unsustainable debt.
Trump in response said he is very disappointed in Musk "I helped Musk a lot," he emphasised. In a repartee, Musk said without him, Trump would have lost the election ion. "Such an ingratitude," Musk vented.
In reply Trump said he would have won the battleground Pennsylvania state without him where he poured much of his money.
Musk also rebutted Trump statement that Musk knew the inner working of the bill, saying that it was not shown to him even for once.
It was passed in a huff in the dead of night and so fast that almost no Congressmen even read it.
Musk also challenged Trump competency as a president. It is said that Trump had pumped in $ 300 in the Trump election campaign and the latter had assigned him the job of slashing the federal staff and reducing spendings.
Just a week ago, Trump had given a personal send off to Musk at the White House and described him as one of the greatest business leaders and innovators the world has ever produced. He had also given a golden emblazoned with White House insignia to him. Trump said Musk is opposing the bill as it did not serve his self-interest when the electric vehicle mandate was taken out of it which benefits him.
